This October we celebrate our 47th year as Glenvarna Christian Centre. God has kept his promises throughout the journey of the church which started with only a few people at our house in Glenvarna housing estate in Newtownabbey. When the church grew in numbers we moved to Carnmoney Orange Hall which served as our base for a period. Then, God blessed us with the opportunity to buy the grounds and buldings where we are now situated (then called Linden Lea). After some extensive renovations to the old "Pink Barn" the church was ready to start a new chapter in our new home. However, on one of the first nights in the new building we received a prophesy in that this would one day be called the "Minor Hall". God spoke to me and gave me a vision of the Open Arms and told me to press ahead and build it - and he would take care of filling it and paying for it! We started work on the building with no money to pay for it, and true to his word God has provided amazingly at every turn. Today the Open Arms is completely paid for and the new cafe extension has just been completed. God has taken us on a great journey of faith, trusting his word and promises and it has not always been easy - but He has always come through. The church has seen great miracles over the years and we continue to see God working powerfully in the Glenvarna family. We welcome you along and we will be keeping a seat for you. Blessings to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Pastor Billy McClay
